How Wood Primary School and Nursery is an inclusive and nurturing school where each person receives respect and diversity is valued. The School recognises that some children may have a short-term need or alternatively, more complex on-going needs that require additional support.

Each member of staff is committed to providing the environment and opportunities needed to enable any child with a special educational need to be included fully in all aspects of school life. To this end, action is taken to remove barriers to learning, make reasonable adjustments and to help the children realise their potential for improvement.

This allows them to make good progress and to secure good outcomes, wherever their starting point might be.
