Children are encouraged to eat healthy foods as part of our Healthy Schools and Healthy Eating schemes. We currently offer Wednesday specials which consist of a roast dinner and Friday specials.
In 2014 the Government introduced Universal Free School Meals. This initiative provides free meals to children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Year 3 and above pupils are charged for school meals. The cost of a school meal for Key Stage 2 is currently £2.85 per day.
Dinner money should be paid in advance via the Arbor App. If your account goes into a low or negative balance you will be notified via text message.
Nursery children are not entitled to free school meals. The cost of a Nursery school meal is £2.35.
Please discuss lunch arrangements direct with Mrs Reed our Nursery Teacher.

SCHOOL MILK IN NURSERY
Nursery children get free milk funded by the NHS. Your teacher will provide the form to order this.
RECEPTION, YEAR 1 AND YEAR 2
Schools provide free milk up until a child’s 5th birthday. If this falls during the term, they won’t get free milk from that term onwards.
Most children entitled to free school meals can also get free milk, except for children who get Universal Income free school meals.
Milk is available to all Reception and Key Stage 1 children. Letters are sent out towards the end of each term offering milk and stating term prices. Please ensure you complete and return the slip before the ‘return by’ date in order to ensure your child receives milk.
If your child chooses to bring a packed lunch into school we request you do not provide any chocolate, high sugar content foods, fizzy drinks, sweets or ANY products that contain NUTS. Please supply water only as a drink if possible (if not a low sugar fruit juice/cordial/milk-based drink can be given).
REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
We are trying to keep school waste to a minimum, to do this please try to use reusable containers for your child’s food/drinks.
