HALF TERM highlights

world cup dance session –

On Tuesday we had the chance to learn a new dance for the World Cup.  Year 3 were Wales and the children performed a Welsh Folk dance to the tune Jac-y-do.  Everyone had great fun!

waltham abbey – stone age trip

We visited Waltham Abbey to find out about Stone Age life.  It was a great day, full of activities.  We started by learning about the transition humans went through from walking on all fours to just two feet.  We then went on an ‘Edible Food Hunt’ and looked at replica artefacts.  After lunch we tried lighting out own sparks and took part in an archaeologist challenge.  It was AMAZING!

FIRST WEEK IN YEAR 3

Wow what a wonderful first week we have had in Year 3.  We have been learning all about The Stone Age and making Stone Age cave paintings and jewellery.

In Art we have been using water colours to paint our stunning pictures of Sunflowers.

We have so much fun learning to look forward to!

Writing our own version of a fable

This week we wrote our own versions of the Fable War and Peas.

Everyone wrote such an amazing version that on Friday we were able to read our fables to a child in Year 1.

Everyone enjoyed the fables.
